Annual Spring Loose Fundraiser – Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Three Sisters Park

Apr 01, 2024 09:57AM ● By Robin Bannister

The good Lord took our son, Drew Bannister, home on March 13, 2013, along with his friends—Mike Sievert, Ron Horton, and their dog—in Florida after a fatal motor vehicle accident. The community , our church , family, and friends came together to help lay him to rest. After much prayer on how can we pay it forward, it was decided we would start a non-profit 501(c)(3). Much encouragement and help came from the late Jack Morgenstern, and the late Chris Cassidy. Spring Loose was actually created at Drew’s Celebration of Life.

What is Drew’s Plots, Inc.?  Most do not understand until you have to understand. The brokenness, the most awful pain in the world, and now you realize you are not financially prepared to bury, cremate, or lay your loved one to rest—we are called to help assist. Since 2013, the community has come together and you have helped over 135 families lay their loved ones to rest when they did not have any other way to do it—over 67 urns and over $109,023 has been donated for either cremations, burial fees, or opening and closing fees. This is the Lord’s work, it is not of ourselves. “Bear ye one another’s burdens and so fulfill the Law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2. We say “Thank You” and invite you out to this year’s event.

Live bands, 309 Jeepsters, bake sale, raffle, silent auction, kid’s activities, and food and spirits for sale are all part of the day’s festivities. And if you enjoy disc golf, the 5th Annual Drew’s Plots Charity Disc Golf Tournament starts at 8am. Find all the details about Spring Loose at drewsplots.com.
