Every other Tuesday afternoon, the library offers a literacy or STEAM based program for homeschool families. Join us to connect with other homeschoolers in the community and explore the resources the library has to offer to support your family's educational journey!

March 26: Cereal Box Eclipse Viewers Learn about the upcoming Solar Eclipse (4/8), and make a pinhole eclipse viewer out of a cereal box. We will have some cereal boxes available, but if you have some at home to bring that would be awesome! The library also has eclipse viewing glasses that you can take home.

April 9: Earth Day Celebration Earth Day is coming up on April 22! To celebrate, we will read the Caldecott award winning book We Are Water Protectors as a lens to discuss the importance of clean water, and then create our own watercolor paintings inspired by the illustrations. For older students who are interested in celebrating National Poetry Month, we will also introduce the haiku structure that students can use to write a poem accompanying their watercolor piece.

April 23: Spring Sing Along Music Class Get in the spring spirit with songs celebrating the season! Sing along to songs you know, and maybe learn some new tunes. Students will also have the chance to explore sounds and rhythms with the library's collection of percussion instruments.
