Women in the Outdoors Event

Today, millions of women in the United States enjoy hiking, fishing, archery, hunting, bird watching, and other outdoor activities. And, the number of women involved in these activities is expected to grow! The goals of the National Wild Turkey Federation’s Women in the Outdoors program are to teach the importance or responsible wildlife management, increase participation in outdoor-related opportunities and to preserve our hunting heritage. They plan to accomplish these goals by introducing more women to outdoor activities, training women as outdoor educators, and by providing a network of individuals with similar interests within their chapter system. Through chapters, they can offer events to teach women hunting, fishing, boating, shooting, camping, hiking and other outdoor skills.
