Easy Apple Dumplings
You will need 2 whole apples (I like using green apples)
1 can of buttery crescent rolls (I use the large ones)
½ c. butter (1 stick)
¾ c. sugar
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 ½ tablespoon flour
¾ c. lemon lime soda
• Peel, core, and quarter your apples.
• Unroll your tube of Crescent rolls and separate them.
• Sprinkle a little or a lot of cinnamon on the inside of the crescent roll.
• Take a piece of your apple and roll up in the crescent roll.
• Place in your casserole dish.
• Continue until you have them all done.
• Mix your melted butter, sugar, flour, and vanilla together.
• Pour over your dumplings.
• Take your soda and pour it around the outside edges of the dumplings.
• You can sprinkle more cinnamon and sugar on top and add pecans if you like.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
