CEC’s Cross Country

On Saturday, August 13th, Chillicothe Elementary Center ran their first cross country meet of the year. Washington Central hosted the Trojan Invitational.
    The varsity girls ran first and Michaela Huhn was our first runner coming in 6th with a time of 14:51 and earning a medal. The girls placed 5th out of 8 teams.
    The boys ran the next race with Noah Smith placing 5th with a time of 12:50 and earning a medal. Hank Robels was next placing 6th earning a medal with a time of 12:57. There were 70 boys running this race. The varsity boys placed 3rd out of 10 teams.
    Then the girl’s open race was next with Brynn Dean placing 2nd earning a medal with a time of 15:49. There were 112 girls running this race.
    Last was the boy’s open race with 106 boys running this race.
    All the runners did an amazing job for the first race of the season. We have a lot to look forward to with the talent we have this year.
