Serve Day 2022 will be Sunday, October, 16th from 8:30am–12pm. The event kicks off at Chillicothe Christian Church (510 W. Frances), before teams of volunteers disperse to various sites. A lunch for all volunteers will be offered at 12pm at First United Methodist Church (1023 N. Sixth St., Chillicothe). The rain date is set for October 23rd. Serve Day is an annual opportunity for you to give back to the community and make an impact on Chillicothe and the surrounding area. Chillicothe Christian Church hosts this event and hopes more community members and organizations can join them in serving this year.

   

There are a few ways you can get involved. The first is that you can sign up to volunteer for your choice at about twelve different sites with a wide variety of types of projects. Childcare and family-friendly volunteer projects are available.

   

The sign-up for the event visit www.signupgenius.com, go to the search bar, enter

[email protected], and choose “Serve Weekend 2022.” The second way to be involved is by becoming a site leader. Site leaders oversee a project and engage a team of volunteers the day of the event. Maybe you know of a person or organization in need and can champion their cause by being a site leader, or event organizers can tell you about local needs if you’re not currently aware of any. Thirdly, perhaps you know of a person or place that could use help but being a site leader is not a good fit for you.
