Oct 29, 2022 04:43PM ● By Ginny Molleck
November begins to bring excitement in the air as organizations, businesses, and citizens begin to prepare for the holiday season. The Chillicothe Christmas Parade is held the Saturday before Thanksgiving, making it the perfect early start to the holidays! This year the parade will be held on November 19th and runs on 2nd Street from Walnut Street to City Park. After the parade, the Community Needs Agency Bucket Brigade begins. All monies collected help those within the local area.

Are there any last-minute yard projects still working? Just a reminder that the last day to drop off Yard Waste at Moffitt Park is November 30th. ID must be presented at the gate.

The Shademakers are busy planning their 4th annual Holiday Spirit Lighting Contest called “Light up Chillicothe.” Nominate your neighbors that go all out with their home holiday lighting decorations and turn in your forms to City Hall by December 2nd.

Reminder…November 6th Daylight Savings Time ends so set your clocks back an hour. During this time the Fire District recommends changing smoke detector batteries.
