There’s still time to win some holiday prizes this month. There’s the Countdown to Christmas for a chance to win up to $500 sponsored by the City of Chillicothe. See their ad on page 7 for details. There’s also the second annual Christmas Bonanza sponsored by the Optimist, Rotary, and Lions Clubs that gives you an opportunity to win a basketful of gift certificates and gift cards donated by Chillicothe businesses valued at a combined value of $1,000. See their ad on page 8 for more details.  

But aside from winning, more importantly, we have the opportunity to give. The Community Needs Agency is in the midst of their annual campaign with their bell ringing donation buckets throughout the month. Volunteers are needed as well as your generous donations. Remember all donations stay right here in our community to those in need.

Then of course, there are the fun events to attend.  Breakfast with Santa at Pearce, A Night in Bethlehem at Chillicothe Christian Church, and a Live Nativity at Calvary Baptist Church are just a few things not to miss.

Since we have started this community newspaper, I continue to learn about so many things that we have in our community and marvel at the generosity of time and effort  that is expended to make our hometown so special.
