The Chillicothe Optimist’s Club has been busy making plans for the holiday season, and kicked it off by selling the Christmas Bonanza tickets at the Christmas Parade on November 19th. If you know an Optimist, Lion, or Rotary member you can get tickets from them anytime and they will also be sold in some of the businesses downtown (look for the flyer in the window). The tickets are $10 each, and TWO lucky winners will be drawn out on December 17th. Each person will win over a $1000 worth of gift cards to go Christmas shopping in Chillicothe and surrounding areas. The winners will be drawn on December 17th.

December will find our Optimist members ringing the bell for Community Needs Agency at Kroger’s. Please be generous and help those less fortunate. All money collected stays right here in our community.

On December 17, the Club will be distributing toys at the CNA Christmas program at Three Sisters Park. The Optimist’s Club puts out donation bins for toys at various Chillicothe locations then collects, sorts, and bags them according to age of the child to give out that day in conjunction with the food baskets program.

The Optimist’s Club is always looking for new members. If you are an optimistic person and would like to join our group and be a part of doing great things for the town and the kids in this community, we would love to have you join us on the first or third Saturday of the month at Grecian Gardens for breakfast at 8am.
