In Downtown Chillicothe at 953 N. Second St., Happy Thought Coffee is inside a historic 1868 bank building. Established in 1998 by Wes and Sarah Williamson, it is the oldest continuously running Chillicothe restaurant by the original owners. Sharing space inside with The Vault gift shop, and parent company World Class Travel, it is managed by daughter, Jennifer. A true family business, their son, Eric, provides graphic design. The building originally housed the Truitt Matthews Bank.  The interior is stately and ornate. The teller cages are long gone but the marble floors still show the footprints of clients standing in line for their banking business.

Their vision has always been to serve quality food at a reasonable price and they continue that philosophy today with scratch-baked desserts, freshly ground coffee, and real meats—not lunch meat. Stop in and enjoy their warm inviting atmosphere for breakfast, lunch, or a delicious treat.
