Cooking With Vickie Britton—Bread Pudding

This a great little dessert. It is made with basic pantry ingredients and some day old bread.


Bread Pudding

Ingredients:
4 eggs
2 cups milk
⅓ cup sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon salt
⅓ cup raisins

Preheat your oven to 325

Cut up some day old bread into cubes. About 3 to 4 pieces, any bread will do.

Place 2-½ cups of the dry bread in an 8 x 1 ½ inch round baking dish.

Beat together your eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.

Sprinkle the raisins over your bread. 

Pour the mixture over your bread.

Bake in a 325 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.


We like to eat it warm with some vanilla ice cream.
