Letter From the Editor—March 2023

This is our 10th issue of the Hometown Voice and I am so grateful for all the ideas, articles, and photos that are submitted each month to make this truly a community newspaper. As many of you know, we don’t employ a “reporter” to scout things out and all of our writers are volunteers. To keep this publication free/direct mailed and at a price point for our advertisers, we rely on you to help let us know what’s going on in the community.
A friend of mine who was a freelance writer recently passed away and she was an expert at finding people who were willing to be interviewed so she could write their story. She taught me that everyone has a story to tell—we just need the encouragement to tell it. I’m sure you will agree that Gary Sharp and Sherry Adams have that same ability to interview and tell interesting stories about our Chillicothe residents here in the Voice. I hope that when you get a call from one of them that you will accept the offer to tell your story. We all would love to read it in a future edition of the Voice. As we learn more about each other, we become an even closer knit community.
So, please continue to be our “reporters” and keep your ideas, articles, and photos coming in. We appreciate each and every one of them.
