When asked the meaning of their business name, they responded: We decided to go with the name Faraway for a nod to our grandparents who lived in New Mexico.  As children, Joanna and Charlie (Amber’s husband) would visit them every vacation and lovingly called them Grandma and Grandpa Faraway due to the distance of traveling! Their names were actually Dave & Joan Reeves, and were one, if the most, special people in all of our lives. We wanted to take that, with the southwestern flair, and rock our new business.

Faraway Mercantile will be hosting a Grand Opening on March 11th, from 10am–5pm, with some exciting things coming! Stay tuned!  They are located at 213 W. Walnut St., in downtown Chillicothe.
