Getting to Know a New Chillicothe Business—Chill n’ Juice

Owners: Ryan and Jack Caulfield
Opened: Thursday, February 2, 2023
Type of business: Freshly made smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and healthy food options!

Why did you choose this type of business? Ryan, “I wanted to open something modern and practical. I know some people want to start a healthy lifestyle but do not know where to begin. Then, there are people like me who have dedicated their life to health and struggled because, unfortunately, there were no options for them. I wanted to be able to help be that bridge! As a vegan, I know it’s hard to be able to find food options, let alone healthy food options. When I saw this location, I thought it was a perfect location for a drive-up shop. Now, I didn’t want to open just any food stop; I needed to open something different. That’s when I reached out to Jack and boy, did he start thinking. Since he’s been a kid, he’s been in the kitchen and is very skilled. He’s patient and will work on any recipe until HE IS content. He has taken cooking classes all his life, been mentored by a Top Food Designer out of Chicago, and even had an opportunity to be on Top Chef Jr. He is a determined chef and can create amazing food, and above all, he is a hard worker. Together, I am optimistic about this adventure with him. I feel fortunate that this is something we can bring to life together! We have been health focused our entire lives and have always been asked by local community members, “How do you stay so fit and energetic; what do you eat?” When they hear Vegan/Vegetarian, they immediately say I don’t want to eat just vegetables. That is not at all the case. So, well, we decided the best way would be to offer it ourselves! Our hope for Chill n’ Juice is that people come to enjoy food as much as we do without all the guilt and challenges of the modern American diet.

Why did you choose to locate in Chillicothe? We have been in and around the Chillicothe area for many, many years before Sweet Finds, ThreadZ, and Chill n’ Juice. We were actively coming to the town events, attending Three Sisters events, and playing soccer at Mossville. We love the Chillicothe community! The thing is, with our lifestyle, the only thing missing was a healthy option. That’s when we found the intersection of Walnut and 4th street. It was a perfect spot for us! We hope to be able to serve both our Chillicothe community and those just passing through. Most importantly, start their mornings with a nutrition-rich option that uses real ingredients and is made fresh at every order!

What makes your business unique? Naturally, I would say our food, but it’s so much more than that. To have an entire menu dedicated to health is something we are proud of! We are not just selling food and drinks. The items on our menu are what you would find in our kitchen!  Dishes we have eaten our whole lives!  Health has always been a focus of our life, and I am grateful for that, but the journey has been bumpy. We have learned so much along the way that we feel compelled to share it. Save people from making the mistakes we have made, and enjoy food that helps heal you, makes you feel good, and tastes amazing!  We hope to give people a taste of that at-home cooking. From treating everyone like family to serving what our family eats!

Located on the corner of 4th and Walnut Street, Chill n’ Juice is open Tuesday thru Friday from 7am-3pm and Saturday 10am to 6pm. Support a new Chillicothe business and give them a try.
