Chillicothe Circle of Service May News

Chillicothe Circle of Service’s mission is “to promote and support the needs of our community through teamwork, generosity and service,” and that was quite evident this past month. Members’ generosity allowed us to support both the Community Needs Agency (CNA) and Heritage Health – Chillicothe with gifts.

Circle gave forty Kroger gift cards totaling $1,150 to CNA for inclusion in the Easter baskets which were distributed to needy families in the area before Easter. Our hope is every family who received a basket was able to purchase a ham or turkey for their Easter dinner. Darlene Kumpf, CNA President, appreciates our support of the community.

Residents at Heritage Health in Chillicothe look forward to the first Monday every month when they’re able to shop for two free items at the Heritage Store. If someone is physically unable to go to the store, a staff member from Heritage will pick up things requested by the resident(s). To help stock the store, Circle of Service members brought items to our April meeting, and Service Committee members Mary Baker and Diane Vojta delivered those goodies. Included in the donation were shower gels, after-shave lotions, deodorants, hand lotions, socks, crossword puzzles, word searches, pens, adult coloring books, colored pencils, and jewelry.
