The Chillicothe Voice

Letter From the Editor – June, 2023

May 30, 2023 01:50PM ● By Ginny Molleck

A couple of years ago, a few people suggested that we use our publishing expertise to create a local Chillicothe newspaper. Dave approached several business owners, but at the time, it was decided that Chillicothe was too small to support its own stand-alone newspaper. But then in the early months of 2022, a couple of people just wouldn’t put the idea of a better Chillicothe newspaper out of their minds and they pushed us a little harder. We took another look at the possibility of creating a local GOOD NEWS newspaper for the Chillicothe community. If it weren’t for the prodding and help from Sherry Adams, Amanda Beadles, and Jeannie Quick, this second look wouldn’t have happened.

Once we agreed to try again, Sherry, Amanda, and Jeannie helped us put together a plan and connected us with writers and resources. These writers all give up their time to interview, research, and write each month to make this newspaper Chillicothe’s own.

But, all of this wouldn’t be possible without the financial support of the advertisers you see in each issue. You receive this FREE in your mailbox because of their financial support. Be sure to take note of each and every advertiser because they are just as important as the stories you read. And be sure to thank them when you call or visit them.

The Chillicothe Hometown Voice is truly a community publication. We simply use our skills to put it all together and for all the help we have received, we want to thank you. Please join us on June 24th from 1pm – 3pm at the Chillicothe Public Library for our 1st Anniversary Reception Celebration. Writers, Advertisers, and Readers are all invited.
