Chillicothe Days 2023

The Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce is bringing a variety of new competitions to their downtown festival, hoping to draw a larger crowd of all ages. Chillicothe Days will run from Wednesday, June 14th to Saturday, June 17th at City Park in Chillicothe. This year’s event has something for everyone including a carnival, live music, and unique competitions like Bed Races and Wife Carrying competitions. Organizers even plan to have a chainsaw stump carver and pet contests during Downtown Thursday!

“We just really thought outside of the box when planning this year’s event,” said Chillicothe Chamber Board Member, Tim White. “We brainstormed ideas that could generate big crowds for our businesses here in town. Chillicothe used to do some of these goofy races and competitions back in the day and we thought it would be cool to bring that back.”

Family Night at the carnival is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. Wristbands can be purchased for $30 and include unlimited rides for these nights only.

Mr. Chillicothe and Miss Chillicothe are also back this year by popular demand and are set to headline the event Friday night. Mr. Chillicothe contestants will compete by raising money for the Lions Club leading up to Chillicothe Days. Miss Chillicothe will be judged in a series of stage competitions. The winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize to go towards their future.
