We certainly are not lacking the ability to have fun in our community this summer. Coming up soon, we can once again enjoy the fireworks at Three Sisters Park on the 4th. Please remember to be generous with your donations for this event to help continue the Chillicothe 4th of July Fireworks next year.

As you read this issue of the Hometown Voice, you will see a lot of fun things to do around town. While we are having all this fun, please remember all the volunteer hours that are put in to organize and run these events for our enjoyment. Volunteers are abundant in Chillicothe but that doesn’t mean we can’t use more. Let’s all consider how we might be able to volunteer in ANY capacity to help out.
This month, the Rotary Club of Chillicothe is in need of volunteers to help with the cleanup of the River Corridor Walkway off of 2nd Street in Downtown Chillicothe. It’s the walkway next to Village Eye Care. Work will include de-weeding and cleaning up the garden areas in the walkway. They are scheduled to do cleanups on Saturday, July 8th from 1pm–2pm and Saturday, July 22nd from 1pm–2pm.
There are many ways to volunteer and many skill sets are needed. Don’t be shy to step up and get involved. It’s fun and rewarding. You’ll be glad you did.
