The Chillicothe Voice

Calling All New and Young Families!

Parenthood is one of the most rewarding, yet challenging, experiences in life! To help navigate some of the challenges, the Chillicothe Public Library District will be hosting a New & Young Families Resource Fair on Saturday, September 16th from 10am–12pm at the library! This unique opportunity will provide parents with informational resources, along with time to get to know other parents in the area.

A few of our partner agencies attending will be OSF’s Labor and Delivery and Grow Pediatrics Therapy as well as other organizations and resources geared toward helping new and young families navigate the responsibilities of parenthood. There’s no need to register for this event, just drop in!

Families of all ages can enjoy a multitude of programs at the library. Weekly Toddler Storytime and Nursery Rhyme Storytime, STEAM programs, teen after-school activities, and more. Check our calendar at chillicothepubliclibrary.org/calendar for a complete list of upcoming programs.

And of course, your family can use their library cards to access the thousands of materials in our collection. Books, DVDs, magazines, video and board games, STEAM activities, and more are available for Chillicothe cardholders. Sign up for a library card in September and you will be entered into a drawing for a Triple Dipple’s gift card! Also in September, show your library card at the Town Theatre for a free small fountain drink when you attend the movie.

Call (309) 274-2719 or stop by the library with any questions.
