Cuddles with Kindness® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Chillicothe that is dedicated to providing comfort to kids in need. Cuddles with Kindness was founded by Chillicothe citizen Taylor Larson and is supported by multiple local community members who are dedicated to our mission. Our mission is to provide comfort to children facing traumatic situations while amplifying our goal to inspire kindness and compassion, no matter your age. We do this by providing cuddly stuffed animals for them to hold on to and to use in therapeutic play. 

This fall we need your help! Project Sleep Tight® serves children who are going through homelessness, foster care, children’s homes, crisis centers, and similar situations. The American Institute for Research has found that one out of 30 children will suffer from homelessness in 2018. In addition, the Child Welfare Information Gateway found that there are currently over 391,000 children and youth in foster care. We want to help ease the fear in these children by providing them with a stuffed animal, book, bag, and blanket. These kids deserve a normal bedtime routine and something they can call their own.

Donations can be made year-round, but our main campaign takes place through the months of September and October. This year we have many different ways you can support us. Desirae Smick with BagLadyDes is partnering with us to provide bags. Hailey Cardenas with Paperpie Books is doing a Cuddle Bear and Book combo to help us out and we always take donations. However, we need your help! We need you to sponsor a child in need right here in Central Illinois. This year’s sponsorship levels range from $15 to sponsoring a complete bag at $65. Every dollar and donor makes a difference!
