The Christmas Bonanza has begun! Each year the Optimists Club brings Chillicothe one of the best fundraisers of the year! We began selling tickets at the Santa Parade and will continue to sell tickets up to the drawing on December 16th.

Here’s how it works…All the businesses in town are asked to donate a gift card or certificate in any denomination that they choose to put in the drawing. The Optimists sell tickets for $10 each until two weeks before Christmas. Then all the tickets are put in a tumbler and one name (sometimes two depending on the amount collected) is drawn out. That lucky winner gets over $1,000+ in gift cards to go shopping in Chillicothe.

The Club then takes the money to fund many projects and scholarships for our community. It’s a win-win situation!

You  can buy tickets from any Optimist member or at these venues: 

             Krogers – Dec. 2nd...12–2

             Picket Fence – Dec. 9th...12–2

             Grecian Gardens – Dec. 9...4–6

             Geiger’s Hardware – Dec. 10...1–3   

Teacher winners this month were: Alyce Howeler – CEC, Amy Jones – South School, Tena Mester – Mossville. Each teacher will get a check for $50 to use for their classrooms.
