December found us so busy selling CHRISTMAS BONANZA tickets, picking up all the gift cards from area merchants and drawing out the winners at the CNA basket distribution at Three Sister’s Park. This year the big winners were Darlene Kumpf, Missy Herridge, and Judy McColl. They each received a basket of gift cards from Chillicothe merchants valued at over $1,100.00. Congratulations to our winners. Watch for this Christmas Bonanza again next year.

The Optimists had their annual Christmas party at Grecian Gardens on December 5th with a great breakfast, a Christmas trivia contest, and a fun white elephant gift exchange. A wonderful morning was had by all.  

Teacher’s names were drawn out for December. The winning teachers were; Angie Dorough - CEC, Jennifer Hoepper - Mossville, and Angela Pacha - South School. All the teachers will receive $50 to use for their classroom.

While the club is hibernating this winter, we will be brainstorming on future ventures we can come up with to better serve our community.

Our club is always looking for new members to join us in making Chillicothe a better place to live. If you are an Optimist (If not... we can convert you!) and want to be a part of an active club in town, we welcome you. Our meetings are the first and third Saturdays of the month at Grecian Gardens at 8am. We would love to have you join us for breakfast and find out what we are all about.
