New Year, New You—How to Navigate Your New Year’s Resolution at Pearce Community Center

After the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, many people are ready to tackle the new year with a health-related New Year’s Resolution. A recent study found over 70% of New Year’s Resolutions are related to physical health. Pearce Community Center is ready to help you tackle those health-related resolutions with a $0 Initiation Fee* in the month of January. 

There are many great amenities at Pearce Community Center to help you achieve your New Year’s Resolutions. For those who enjoy being in the water, there is an indoor pool for swimming or walking laps, water aerobics classes, a hot tub, and a sauna. As the weather is turning colder, we have an indoor track for walking or running, and a large cardiovascular room to focus on your cardiovascular health. If strength training is your interest, we have a large full-body weight training machine circuit, two large free weight areas, and a women’s only fitness room. If these areas sound intimidating, don’t you worry!  Pearce offers a FREE Fitness Orientation for all new members. For those who are looking for a little instruction when they come to the gym, Pearce offers over 40 Group Exercise Classes every week from strength training, to cardio, to yoga!  Group Exercise classes are a great way to hold yourself accountable each week, the instructor and participants will notice when you’re gone and help encourage you to come back if you fall off track. 

Need something more individualized, Pearce offers two great personal training options; one-on-one training/small group training or a daily accountability program called Pearce Stronger which offers personal training through our exclusive app. In addition to group exercise classes, Pearce also offers small group Specialty Fitness Training classes. What better way to kick off the New Year than with our Weight Loss Challenge. This is a 10-week program that offers nutritional coaching, daily motivational/healthy tips, cardiovascular coaching, in-person strength training sessions, and monthly assessments to track your progress. There is even a prize for the person who loses the highest percentage of weight at the end of 10 weeks.
