From the President

Gilmore’s Sports Bar hosted our January “Business After Hours” event. The Chamber’s “Business After Hours” events are open to the public!  No admission fee, snacks, and a door prize!  These events allow member businesses to showcase their place of business, and it’s a networking opportunity for all. The next location will be posted on Facebook. Hope to see you there!

The December issue of the Hometown Voice offered our insert with discounts and deals from ten of our Chamber members—the coupons will expire on April 1st. You can also access the coupons in the Chamber’s February newsletter. You can subscribe to the Chamber’s monthly newsletter by visiting the Chamber’s web page at www.chillicothechamber.com. It highlights news and events of Chamber members.

Our Business Marketing Committee has sent out a survey to the membership looking for ways to create or improve programs that add value to being a Chamber member. Stay tuned…

Our next Chamber event is the Downtown Chocolate Tour on February 10th from 11am–3pm. That’s the same day as Eagle Days and the Rotary Pancake Breakfast at Shore Acres. If you’re unfamiliar with the Chocolate Tour, about 16 downtown member businesses prepare chocolate treats to hand out during the event. The Chamber pre-sells 125 tickets for $15 each. Get them while they last! Tickets are available at the Chamber office, City Hall, and Nat’s Place. The goal is to get locals and visitors into our downtown businesses.

The Chamber is looking for volunteers to join our Ambassadors Program. You don’t need to be a Chamber member to be an ambassador. Joining gives you a chance to meet new people and businesses. And, it’s fun!  Get involved!

Working for you… Don White, President
