Please help us in welcoming two new officers to the Chillicothe Police Department.

Officer Jared Farrance recently graduated from the police academy at the Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center in Decatur. Officer

Farrance is a graduate of Brimfield High School and Illinois Central College. He’s been an active member of the Army National Guard since 2020, and he’s a certified EMT.

Officer David Buchanan is a lateral hire with over 30 years of law enforcement experience. He is a graduate of Havana High School and Western 

Illinois University. Officer Buchanan is retired from the Peoria City Police Department where he was a member of the street crimes unit, member of the use of force board, and a field training officer.
