REAL ESTATE OVER COFFEE: 5 Tips to Help You Sell Quickly

Feb 26, 2024 11:41AM ● By Jeannie Quick, Sunflower Real Estate Group

Selling a house can be a daunting task, but by following a few simple steps, you can make the process smoother and more successful. Here are five tips to help you sell your home quickly and at a good price.

1. Consider Curb Appeal: First impressions matter, so make sure the exterior of your home looks inviting. Plant some colorful flowers and repaint your front door to create an attractive and welcoming atmosphere.

2. Declutter Living Areas: Clear out all visible areas, including counters, windowsills, and tables, as well as hidden places like closets and cupboards. Buyers need to see the potential of the space, so make sure your home looks spacious and organized.

3. Depersonalize Your Space: Remove any personal items, family photos, and bold artwork or furniture that might distract buyers. Create a neutral and blank canvas that potential buyers can imagine themselves living in.

4. Repaint Walls to Neutral Tones: A neutral color is a safe and attractive option that allows buyers to envision the walls with their own color choices. Avoid bold or bright colors that might turn off potential buyers.

5. Add Plants: Plants and natural elements can add color and life to your decor. Consider placing a bouquet of flowers or a bowl of fruit on the kitchen counter or dining table to create a welcoming environment.
