The Chillicothe Voice

An Update from the Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce

Our April Luncheon will be a special one. Once a year, we partner with the City to present the annual Chamber Awards and the City Civic Awards. The event is open to the public and will be held on April 17th at noon. It will be held at the Chillicothe Public Library and catered by Castaways. Hope to see you there!

Our luncheons are membership lunches. But, if you are not a member and would like to attend, contact Amber at the Chamber office and she will be your host and we’ll give you a free lunch.

Our next Open House, formally called “Business After Hours”, will be held at Novel Electronic Devices. Among other things, they manufacture the buzzers for high school spelling bees. The event will include a ribbon cutting celebrating their 30th anniversary as a business here in Chillicothe; a best-kept secret…It is scheduled from 5-7pm on Thursday, April 25th. Hope to see you there!

These events are open to the public and have no admission fee, snacks, and a door prize!  These events allow member businesses to showcase their place of business, and it’s a networking opportunity for all.

We are beginning the planning of our biggest event—Chillicothe Days and the Carnival—June 12 through 15. Events include the Mr. Chillicothe Contest, the Miss Chillicothe Contest, Chillicothe Princess & Junior Princess Contest, a silent auction, a wife-carrying race, superhero contest, a talent contest, a trivia contest, and a pie-in-the-face event. Lots of family fun!

We would like to announce our newest member – i3 Broadband. Welcome aboard!

Do you subscribe to the Chamber’s monthly newsletter?  If you don’t yet, you can subscribe by visiting the Chamber’s web page at www.chillicothechamber.com. It highlights news and events of Chamber members. Also, the Chamber is looking for volunteers to join our Ambassadors Program. You don’t need to be a Chamber member to be an ambassador. Joining gives you a chance to meet new people and businesses. And, it’s fun!  Get involved!
