Message from the Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber’s biggest event is upon us! Chillicothe Days and the Carnival will be from June 12th through 15th Along with the carnival, there will be entertainment on the City Park Stage and on Chestnut Street by Gilmore’s. The Schedule of Events has been finalized and you’ll see posters around town or you’ll find it on the Chamber’s Chillicothe Days Facebook page or in this issue of the Hometown Voice newspaper. The carnival will open Wednesday evening and run through Saturday night. Wednesday and Thursday are Family Fun Night and you can get unlimited rides for $30 per person. Friday night features the Mr. Chillicothe Contest and the Miss Chillicothe Contest; emceed by Scott Robins of WMBD radio. On Saturday, there will be entertainment and contests including the Chillicothe Princess & Junior Princess Contest, a wife-carrying race, a diaper derby, super hero contest, a talent contest, a trivia contest, and a pie-in-the-face event. You can find entry forms to enter events on the Facebook page. There will also be a Silent Auction in the Fire Station and live music at the Legion and on Chestnut on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Lots of family fun!
Our May Open House took place at the Top of the Hill Farm. This is a beautiful indoor/outdoor event center for weddings, proms, reunions, and such. Check it out!
These events are open to the public and have no admission fee and offer snacks and a door prize! The events allow member businesses to showcase their place of business, and it’s a networking opportunity for all.
