Carole, age 73, of Chillicothe, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria.

Carole was born on June 28, 1950 in Galesburg, IL to Homer Leslie and Liddie (Woodring) Green. She married John O. Landsverk on June 3, 1972 in Solon Springs, WI.

Surviving are her husband of 51 years, John; her children, Garth (Kerry) Landsverk of Chillicothe, IL, Brandon Landsverk of Williamsville, IL and Mardee (Jeremy) DeVault of Chillicothe, IL; seven grandchildren; five nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jane Salyards.

Carole graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Superior with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology and was a technician working with adolescence at Zeller Mental Health in Peoria. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Chillicothe and was an avid baseball fan, especially her Atlanta Braves. She even participated in the church’s Fantasy Baseball League. Family was also important to Carole and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Services were held at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Chillicothe. Visitation was held at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Rev. John Sipf officiated. Burial was at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Edelstein. Memorials in Carole’s name may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
