The Crady family and friends are grieving the passing of David Michael Crady, known as Michael and affectionately called Mickey. Michael was born on October 4, 1955 to Vonnetta Darlene (Simpson) and Ralph Crady in Chillicothe, Illinois. Michael was a wanderer who spent his adult life traveling throughout the midwestern and western states. He primarily worked as a house painter but also learned a variety of other jobs from riding with an ambulance company to working in an oil field. He met a wide variety of people on his travels and made many friends. He was a person who would do anything he could to help a friend. Family and friends remember many stories Michael shared from his experiences while traveling throughout the States. Nieces and nephews enjoyed being entertained by Michael, learning games and activities such as rocket launching, watching his favorite movies, and listening to his new favorite songs. All family members enjoyed the famous fudge he would make wherever he visited. Also continually treasured are the router wood worked frames and pictures he made for gifts. Michael is survived by his older brother, Richard Alan Crady and older sister, Debra Jean (Larry) Dalton. He is also survived by nieces Victoria (Chris) Joyce, Anita Crady; Danielle (Kevin) Harris; Rachel (Andrew) Myers; Rebecca (Greg) Straub; Carrie (Phil) Bland and nephews Richard (April) Crady, Jon (Jessica) Dalton and Justin (Sarah) Dalton as well as 23 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Vonnetta Stapish, his father, Ralph Crady, his oldest brother, Dennis Dale Crady and his youngest sister, Diane Darlene (Jeff) Bland. Following cremation, Michael will be interned next to our youngest sister, Diane whom he loved. A private family memorial ceremony will be held at the grave site in the Chillicothe Cemetery. We pray that Michael knew how much family and friends loved him. We also pray that he is now at peace and resting in the arms of Jesus.
