Kimberly, age 60, of Chillicothe, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Methodist Hospital in Peoria.

Kimberly was born on July 19, 1964 in Peoria, IL to Ronald J. and Germaine S. (Black) Shaffer.

Surviving are her mother, Germaine Shaffer of Chillicothe; her daughter, Jessica Watkins of Mason City, IL; her brother, Kenneth Shaffer of Chillicothe, IL; and her niece, Brooke Kramer of Chillicothe, IL.  She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

Kimberly worked for Methodist Hospital in Peoria for almost 30 years.  She volunteered for Rescue 33 in Chillicothe and she enjoyed traveling.  She brought true joy to all that knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
