Message from the Chamber of Commerce

This year’s Christmas Parade is behind us…. Next year, we are going to be moving the parade date to December 6th rather than the Saturday before Thanksgiving. This puts more time between the Christmas Parade and the Nightmare on Second Street Parade. And, December is closer to the Christmas holiday.
We are planning a new event which will be a Trivia Contest to be held at Pearce Community Center with a dinner. Teams of four will compete through a bracket, with the winners receiving some sort of a prize. This event is being planned for mid-January. No need to be a Chamber member to compete and/or join in for drinks and dinner!
Our next Membership Meeting will be on December 18th at Pearce Community Center. Our Chamber bylaws require our annual elections to occur in December. Accordingly, my term as president will end. It’s anticipated that Ginny Molleck, our current vice president, will be elected as the Chamber’s next president. And, as this will be my last article, I would like to let everyone know how I’ve enjoyed the experience. The Chamber is a great organization!
The Chamber is looking for volunteers to join our Ambassadors Program. Do you have someone in your business or organization that would like to get involved? You don’t need to be a Chamber member to be an ambassador. Joining gives you a chance to meet new people and businesses. And it’s fun! Get involved! Contact Amber at the Chamber office – (309) 274-4556 or email at [email protected].
Do you subscribe to the Chamber’s monthly newsletter? If you don’t yet, you can subscribe by visiting the Chamber’s web page at www.chillicothechamber.com. It highlights news and events of Chamber members. As a member, you can ask Amber to post things for you; the deadline is the 20th of each month.
Working for you…
Don White, President
Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce
