At the Chillicothe Park District, we're here to help you make the most of the season and all the free time it brings! Whether you're craving fresh air, sunshine, or social activities that get you moving and ignite your creativity, we’re ready to help you create lasting memories this spring.

We’re excited to introduce our newly formed Disc Golf League in partnership with Aces on the Horizon! Join us on Wednesday evenings for Free League Play. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, we’ll have a great time playing together on the course!

If you’re looking to play a little more competitively, we have you covered there with our Random Double Draw League Play on Saturdays. This series offers a fun challenge for all skill levels! For just a $5 fee (with a $1 optional ACE Pot), you’ll be randomly paired with a partner, and the winning team takes home the prize at the end of each round.

For those who love to get creative, we’re teaming up with Rosie Acres Bakery to host a Cookie Lab on Sunday, April 13th! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the art of cookie decorating, from intricate designs to fun patterns. The class includes cookies, tools, and expert instruction, and you’ll leave with a batch of beautifully decorated cookies to share (or enjoy yourself!).

If dancing is more your style, come join us for Line Dancing Classes on Thursday nights! Whether you're a pro or a first-timer, our lessons are designed for all levels. Get ready to kick up your heels, have fun, and learn the steps to popular line dances!

Start your day off right with our monthly Coffee @ the Clubhouse event! Sip on freshly brewed coffee, enjoy delicious treats, and take in the breathtaking views of the Illinois River. It’s the perfect way to meet new people or just relax in a cozy setting.

On Thursday, April 17th, we’re hitting the road again for our first ever Senior Getaway Day Mystery Trip!  We have a day planned for adventurous seniors who love surprises. Leave the planning to us while you sit back, relax, and enjoy a stress-free journey to a top-secret destination!  

We're also bringing back Senior Steppers! Join us on Wednesday, April 23rd and step into spring with our walking group at Coal Hollow Park. Enjoy the fresh air and scenic trails while getting some exercise and connecting with others. It’s the perfect way to stay active and meet new friends.

Of course, in addition to these great activities, don’t forget to explore and enjoy all the beautiful green spaces our parks have to offer. From the scenic trails at Coal Hollow Park to the new playground at Shore Acres Park and fun for your four-legged friends at Walnut Dog Park, there's something for everyone to enjoy as you Spring into the Parks this season!
