Here is what happened on the IVC scene this past May…

Friday, May 2, 2025, IVCHS held its annual lunch auction to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This year, fourteen teams of students raised over $28,000 for this worthy cause. Thank you so much to the Chillicothe community for generously donating and supporting this fundraiser. This event is a highlight of the year for our school!

IVC held its senior honors night on Wednesday, May 14th, and IVC high school students were awarded over $130,000 in local scholarships. We cannot thank the community enough for their generous contributions to the futures of IVC students!  Your support shows how much the Chillicothe community values education!  

On Thursday, May 18th, IVC seniors held their last graduation practice ending with their “Senior Walk.”  The seniors took their final walk through the halls of IVCHS in their graduation gowns as the juniors, sophomores, and freshmen cheered for them. The seniors then walked the halls of their grade schools to visit our district’s younger students and former teachers.

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, the Illinois Valley Central High School Class of 2025 graduated. We will miss the Class of 2025 next year, and we wish each one success and happiness in their future endeavors. We hope they remember their days at IVCHS as “great days to be Ghosts!”

School was dismissed for summer break on Thursday, May 22, 2025, but we look forward to seeing the incoming freshmen and next year’s sophomores, juniors, and seniors on Monday, August 11, 2025.
