Chillicothe Circle of Service
Do you realize IVC District 321’s school year start is just around the corner—August 11th to be exact? With that in mind, Chillicothe Circle of Service continues to support all schools within IVC’s boundaries (including Calvary Baptist and St. Edward) by providing gift cards based on enrollment to each school so teachers can purchase required—but not donated—items for students in need. Thanks to contributions from our members, community businesses, and an amount designated in Circle of Service’s budget, we’re able to gift more than $2,000 to local schools this year.
After disassociating our club from Altrusa International in 2019, we became known as Chillicothe Circle of Service, celebrating our sixth birthday in June. As Circle of Service, we can focus our money and efforts on the community rather than sending a large percentage of our dues to Altrusa. We continue to provide scholarships for IVC seniors and support Community Needs Agency, the Arc at Chillicothe, Spring Planting at Three Sisters Park, and many other organizations. Thanks to Grecian Gardens for serving the wonderful dinner and providing the birthday cake! We also welcomed Janet Sharp as our newest member and look forward to her contributions.
