Here is what is happening on the IVC scene this September…

IVCHS welcomed in the freshmen students who will graduate high school in 2029…hard to believe!

IVC kicked off the fall sports season with its annual Maroon & Grey Night on Thursday, August 21st at Taylor Field. All fall athletes and coaches were recognized and parents were able to watch some of the teams scrimmage to show their progress so far this season.

On Friday, August 22nd, IVC held its first American Red Cross Blood Drive. Thank you to everyone in the community who donated blood at this event. Each donation saves three lives! What a great way to kick off the school year!

On Tuesday, August 26th, IVCHS hosted “A Night Out at IVC.”  Students, parents, and community members were welcome to visit the school to gain a better insight into the course offerings and opportunities available at IVCHS. If you missed this event, there will be another opportunity during the spring semester to visit IVCHS and see what our students experience throughout their high school years.

On Friday, August 29, 2025, IVC hosted Monticello High School for the first home football game of the season. IVC students and staff are excited to support all of our student athletes as they compete throughout the year. Other home football games will occur Friday, September 12th, Friday, September 26th (Homecoming), and Friday, October 17th. We look forward to seeing you at the home football games as well as other fall sporting events. 

There is a new event being hosted at IVCHS in September. The IVC marching band is hosting its first marching band competition on Saturday, September 20th. Come out and support the band at this event! Enjoy watching local marching bands compete in their field shows!

Wed, September 24: Homecoming Class Competitions (1:10pm - 2:35pm)

Thu, September 25: Homecoming Skit Night in IVC’s main gym and Bonfire from 6pm - 9pm.

Fri, September 26: IVC Homecoming Parade (3pm) on Second Street, IVC’s Homecoming Football Game vs. Prairie Central (7pm)

Sat, September 27: IVC Homecoming Dance (8pm - 11pm)

Mon, September 29: Financial Aid Night (6pm - 7pm)
