Meet The New Assistant Pastor
Chillicothe Christian Church would like to welcome the new Associate Pastor, Noah Ellis. Noah will be filling the position left by Andrea Mercier, who has moved to Lincoln to be near her family.
Noah attended Christ for the Nations Seminary in Dallas, Texas, and then went on to Grand Canyon University to receive his bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies. Previously, Noah was at the Family Life Assembly of God Church in Katy, Texas, where he was the youth and young adult pastor.
Noah is from Athens, Georgia, and his wife, Mariah, is originally from Washington State but went to college in Georgia. It was at a church in Georgia that she and Noah were both attending that they met and began a relationship. They later married and now have four children: Grace (4), Elijah (2), and twins Joy and Jeremiah (5 months).
Noah and Mariah say they had felt God’s nudging to move on and had been praying about it for a year. They both love small-town living, so they prayed that is where God would lead them. When they saw that Chillicothe Christian was looking for an Associate Pastor, they immediately decided to apply. After contacting and talking with Senior Pastor Ryan Phelps and the Elders, they were extended an invitation to come and meet with them and be introduced to the congregation. Right away, they were enamored by the church, the town, and the people. Mariah says, “It seems like a Hallmark Movie Town.”
After meeting and talking with Noah and Mariah, it was determined by the Elders and Pastoral Committee that the Ellis Family would be a blessing to the church family and Noah was extended an invitation to join the church as the Associate Pastor.
Noah says his mission is to follow God’s leading, make disciples, and to carry out the great commission set down by Jesus in the Bible.
Welcome Noah, Mariah, and the Ellis children to Chillicothe Christian Church, the family of truth and love.
