No need to bundle up just to get your hands on the latest books or movies. The library’s online resources offer a wide range of digital materials ready to explore. Libby and The Palace Project, the newest addition to our digital collection, both provide an extensive selection of eBooks and eAudiobooks you can read or listen to on your mobile device. Hoopla offers eBooks, eAudiobooks, movies, TV shows, music, and video courses, all available for immediate download. If you’re craving high quality films or bingeworthy series, Kanopy delivers an eclectic mix of entertainment and educational content. All you need is your library card and PIN to log in and start browsing from the comfort of your own home.

If you’re new to digital library apps or looking for a refresher, join us for What the Tech: eLibrary on January 7th at 11am. This session will walk you through how to use the library’s eBook, eAudio, and video streaming platforms. Bring your questions and your device, and we’ll help you get connected.

The library provides additional online resources to help you explore and stay informed on local and national topics, people, and events in areas such as business, health, education, careers, politics, and social issues. Through NewsBank, for example, library cardholders can access articles from a wide variety of credible, vetted news sources spanning the U.S., including Peoria Journal Star. 

Having trouble accessing these resources because you’re stuck at home with spotty internet? Chillicothe Public Library patrons over 18 years old with a valid library card are welcome to stop by the library to borrow an internet hotspot, or place one on hold. Hotspots provide mobile internet access for four weeks, and can be used to connect to up to ten devices.
