Here is what is happening on the IVC scene this March…

During the first week of March 2026, IVC students will celebrate World Languages Week with daily trivia contests, a food fair, and more!  Also, the last group of seniors in the class of 2026 will participate in the spring senior retreat from Wednesday, March 4th through Saturday, March 7th. Lastly, IVC’s ACES (Academic Challenge in Engineering and Science) team will travel to Illinois Central College for the regional competition in biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering graphics, English, mathematics, and physics. 

Thursday, March 12th through Saturday, March 14th, IVC’s theater department will be presenting Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The show will begin at 7pm in IVC’s auditorium. Tickets are $5.00 for children and students and $10.00 for adults. We hope to see you in support of our student actors and crew!

IVCHS will host parent/teacher conferences Thursday, March 19th and Wednesday, March 25th from 4–7:30pm. Information will come out through the ParentSquare app to register for conferences. 

On Wednesday, March 25th, IVC will host its College and Career Fair that occurs every other year. Students will have the opportunity to visit booths that represent colleges, military branches and work opportunities as well as sessions with guest speakers who will inform students about specific careers and employment opportunities that are of interest to each student. Thank you to the IVC Guidance department for all of their work with this event!

Friday, March 27th will be the first day of spring break with no school. Students will return to school on Tuesday, April 7th. We hope everyone has a relaxing time off from school and returns to school ready to finish the 2025-2026 school year strong!
