Pat Parr (L) and Jeanette Timmons (R) present CNA volunteer Mary Jo Moore with Kroger gift cards for CNA’s Easter baskets.

In mid-March, Service Committee members Pat Parr and Jeanette Timmons delivered twenty - $25 Kroger gift cards to Community Needs Agency representative Mary Jo Moore, who accepted on behalf of President Darlene Kumpf. These gift cards were included in the Easter baskets distributed by CNA in late March. Darlene thanks Circle of Service for their donation.

Spring Planting, held at Three Sisters Park in April of each year for students in grades 5 – 7, introduces them to how farming was done in 1918 and gives them hands-on experience with soil preparation, seed selection, corn planting using 1918 techniques, and horse-drawn equipment. Event preparations are underway, and Circle of Service members assisted by wrapping corn packets and assembling escort binders. The corn packets will be used in the germination session, showing how corn kernels germinate in a warm, damp environment.
