Michelle was born March 12, 1965 in East Alton, IL to Kay (Storey) and Robert Allsman. 

Michelle was a dedicated school bus driver for the IVC school district from 2005- 2018.

Michelle’s greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren, and she showed love in words and constant presence. Michelle was loved by many in her community, children who rode on her bus, approached her as adults, and introduced their children to her. They were like her second family. 

Michelle is survived by her husband Roger Whitman, sharing 23 years together; her children Caleb, Trisha and Victoria Gibson; her grandchildren Grace, Sophie, Gabbie, Sadie, and Wyatt; her sister Debbie Mortland; her niece Cassi and nephew Seth McGee, Aunt Bev Storey, and Uncle Rick Storey.

She is preceded in death by her mother Kay, father Robert, and father to her children Rodger Gibson. 

Services were in Wood River, IL on April 25, 2026 at Pitchford Funeral Parlor and a celebration of life was held on May 9, 2026 in Chillicothe, IL.
