By now, I’m sure everyone has seen the Mr. Chillicothe voting containers around town in several different locations. This year Kroger, Grecians, Short Loin, Track Inn, Heathers, Molly’s Pizzeria, Pearce Community Center, and Dunkin Dounuts were kind enough to allow us to place our voting canisters at their businesses, and we are truly thankful for them allowing us to do that.

Mr. Chillicothe is an event that the Lions Club holds every year to help raise money for the community and surrounding area. The winners are announced at the Chillicothe Days Carnival Friday, June 19th.
The competition is all in fun, for a good cause. The contestants are introduced by the MC with a swimsuit competition ( all in good fun) and you get to hear a word or two from each contestant. If you have never been to a Mr. Chillicothe contest, you should try it, it is fun. And, if you have been to one, you know that it is a good time and lots of fun. It is a good way to raise money to help our community and surrounding area. The people and organizations that were good enough to volunteer to help out this year are as follows:
1. Nick Alvarado – Sponsored by Riverside where Nick works as a salesperson.
2. Jerimiah Donahoo – Sponsored by Kroger here in town where Jerimiah works.
3. Tyler Jenkins – Sponsored by Our Local McDonald’s where Tyler works.
4. Ryan Hopwood – Sponsored by our local McDonald’s where Ryan works.
5. Nick Dossett – Sponsored by our local Optimist Club and Nick is a member.
6. Greg “Nelly” Nelson – Sponsored by Nats Place where Greg is a frequent customer.
So, If you feel like getting a few laughs and helping out others in the process, please come join us. If you can’t make it (or even if you plan on making it) The Lions club would like to encourage you to vote for your favorite contestant or contestants by visiting the voting canisters around town at the businesses listed above. Hope to see you there!
