2026 Bach Festival Concert

Peoria Bach Festival 2026 returns to Westminster Presbyterian Church in Peoria, Illinois, May 31–June 5, offering a week of performances that explore the music of J.S. Bach, his family, and his broader musical world. From organ and chamber works to choral and orchestral finales, the festival brings together professional artists, guest musicians, and community performers in a celebration of Baroque artistry and its lasting influence. Most events are freewill offering, with select ticketed concerts. ________________________________________

Monday, June 1 | 12:00 PM Young Musicians Concert – Regional student solo and ensemble performances. Freewill offering

Tuesday, June 2 | 7:30 PM Friends and Rivals – Baroque chamber music by Bach’s circle, including Telemann, Handel, Graupner, and others. $20 / $10

Wednesday, June 3 | 12:00 PM Brahms Goes Baroque (John Orfe, piano) – Exploring Bach’s influence through Brahms and Handel.

Thursday, June 4 | 12:00 PM Community Concert – Local college and amateur musicians in solo and chamber works. Freewill offering

Friday, June 5 | 12:00 PM Bach and the Organ – Lecture/recital on Bach’s organ music. Freewill offering

Friday, June 5 | 6:45 PM Festival Pre-Concert Lecture

Friday, June 5 | 7:30 PM Festival Concert – Orchestra and choir present Bach family masterworks, including works by W.F. Bach, J.C. Bach, and J.S. Bach. $20 / $10 (12 & under free)
