What’s Happening in Chillicothe in February 2024

Jan 29, 2024 02:24PM ● By the City of Chillicothe

The month of February is an ideal time to watch the eagles along the river. The observation tower at Eagle Landing at the end of Elm Street and the eagle viewing telescope at Shore Acres Park provide great riverfront views. On February 10th the Chillicothe Rotary and Lions Club along with the Chillicothe Public Library will be holding the Eagle Watch Pancake and Sausage Breakfast at Shore Acres Clubhouse from 7:30am to 10:30am. This is an event for the whole family. On the same day the Chamber will be holding the Chillicothe Chocolate Tour at the Historic Downtown Businesses. A lot of activity on the 2nd Saturday of February!

The Memorial Bench honoring Sharon Crabel has been installed in the Chillicothe Cemetery. The bench honors Sharon’s years of service as clerk to the City and Township.

At the January 8th City Council meeting the Council approved:

  • Amended MFT General Maintenance Resolution that the council appropriates $80,000 of Motor Fuel Tax Funds for the purpose of maintaining streets and highways from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024
  • A request for Live Entertainment in the American Legion beer garden on January 14th from 2–6pm for the band Old Soles
